After nearly three years of running Roslea Properties from kitchen tables and other people’s living rooms, we have opened our first proper office on Kilmarnock Road in Shawlands. Our name is on the front, the door is open, and for the first time we have a space where clients can actually come and sit down with us. It felt like the right time.
Why Kilmarnock Road
Kilmarnock Road is not exactly short of estate agents. We knew that when we signed the lease, and honestly, that was part of the appeal. We are not interested in finding a quiet corner where nobody can compare us to anyone else. We wanted to be right in the middle of it, on the same street, and let people see the difference for themselves.
We are not a franchise. We are not part of a chain. We are an independent agency that was built in this city, and we think that when people walk through our door and compare what we offer to what is either side of us, the difference will be obvious.
The South Side
We work across all of Glasgow but the South Side property market right now is one of the most interesting in the city, and having an office right in the middle of it made sense.
The tenement stock is beautiful, the cafes and restaurants keep getting better, and the whole area has a lifestyle that is genuinely hard to match anywhere else in the city. Buyers are choosing the South Side on its merits, not as a compromise, and it is not difficult to see why.
Having an office on Kilmarnock Road puts us right in the middle of that market. Which is exactly where we want to be.
